MASSAGE
This therapy is one of the oldest methods of healthcare and is recognised as an important part of any holistic, medical or wellness program. Modern holistic massage is based on the methods of Doctor Per Henrik Ling, the father of Swedish Massage. Holistic massage treats the individual as a whole and aims to improve physical, mental and emotional well-being through touch. A holistic approach allows the practitioner to tailor a treatment to individual specific needs, offering massage to the whole person - not just the body.
Emotional, mental and physical tension is stored in the muscle tissue, the application of massage to the soft tissue encourages the muscular and nervous systems to relax, helping to release stress and tension, flush out toxins and increase emotional well-being. Massage is one of the most natural and instinctive means of relieving pain and discomfort. Warmth, caring, reassurance, strength and healing are all transmitted by touch through the hands. It is a form of nurturing that awakens, encourages and supports the body’s own healing powers.
Your massage will take place in a warm, relaxing environment. Massage is a hands-on therapy and you will be partially undressed during treatment. Towels and blankets are provided for modesty. Massage Balms used are a unique blend of Beeswax and natural ingredients. For ultimate results, we recommend 60-minute sessions, however, we can also offer 30 min sessions where time is an issue. All massage treatments are tailored to your individual requirements, with your whole being in mind and may include a combination of treatments. Your first appointment may include an additional 20min consultation, where your needs, expectations and medical history are discussed.
Hot Stone Massage
This ancient technique has been practised for centuries in many different cultures. Basalt stones are used for their ability to retain heat but also due to their natural healing properties. The stones are sterilised and heated in water in a special pot so the temperature can be accurately gauged. The heated stones are used with oil to massage the body.
As the stones are moved around the body, smooth waves of heat help to melt away the stresses and strains of modern day life. The stones are also placed on certain energy points on your body, aiding a more subtle healing effect. A cold stone(s) may be used to create perfect balance – Yin to Yang. Cold stone(s) can also be applied for physical reasons, this will be discussed at the consultation. The respect for the individual is never compromised – simply balanced and healed.
Natural Face Lift Massage
The Natural Facelift Massage (also called Facial Rejuvenation) is a gentle non-invasive treatment based on ancient Ayurvedic techniques. It works primarily by freeing constrictions within the facial muscles and connective tissue. The treatment is performed with the hands helping to rejuvenate the skin with specific ‘lifting techniques’, encouraging blood circulation to the face as well as facial exercises and lymph drainage techniques to help give a glowing complexion. There are no oils or creams used in this treatment.
It is advisable to have 6 treatments – ideally once a week – for optimum improvements, as the treatment helps to undo habitual facial expressions and re-train the facial muscles. After that, if you want the benefits to last, it is advisable to continue with treatments at least once a month.
REIKI
Reiki (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy’ and is also a word used to describe a system of natural healing. This tradition was founded by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication.
Denise became a Reiki Master in 1996 and has over 25 years of experience in this field. Reiki is non-invasive hands-on healing. A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional. It is a practice that anyone can enjoy in the normal course of their life. Reiki can be used alongside other conventional or complementary treatments. Reiki practitioners are not trained in diagnosis and will not predict any specific outcome from treatment.
Your Session - A complete Reiki session is offered to a fully clothed recipient who is lying on a treatment couch or if needed, sitting comfortably supported in a chair. The practitioner gently places their hands in a series of non-intrusive positions on or near the body. There is no massage or manipulation. The whole person is treated rather than specific areas. These sessions offer you a safe, supportive space for you to 'connect with you' – to take time out to nourish yourself, re-balance your energy levels and to find support in soothing your mindset. Sessions can take 1 hour to 1.5 hours, depending on the client’s needs.
REFLEXOLOGY
Denise has over 20 years of experience in the practice of Reflexology. Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation and wellbeing.
Reflexology is based on the principle that certain points on the foot correspond to the organs, glands and parts of the body. By stimulating these reflex points through gentle pressure the treatment can bring about a state of relaxation and help the body's own healing process. Reflexologists do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe.
Reflexology is a very individual treatment that is tailored to you as a whole person, taking into account both physical and non-physical factors that might be affecting your wellbeing.
HOPI EAR CANDLING
Hopi ear candling is a traditional therapy used by the Ancient Greeks and was popularised by the Hopi Indian Tribe of the American South-West. The modern embodiment of the treatment is based on the form used by the Hopi Indians, (meaning ‘Peaceful People’) who are renowned for their possession of incredible medicinal knowledge and spirituality.
A Hopi ear candle is a cotton tube, filled with beeswax, therapeutic oils and honey, that is gently inserted into the ear to draw out impurities and relieve pressure. This gentle yet effective therapy can encourage relaxation and can be helpful for a wide range of conditions that affect the head and ears such as sinusitis, hay fever, excessive ear wax, colds & flu, tinnitus and stress. A Hopi ear candling treatment includes a massage of the face, ears, neck and scalp to enhance the effect of the ear candling.
The treatment takes approximately 45 minutes.

BACH FLOWER REMEDIES
The Bach flower remedy system is a simple and natural method of emotional healing through the use of the healing properties of flowers. The system focus on personality imbalances and negative emotions were discovered in the 1930s, by Dr Edward Bach, a well-known physician, bacteriologist, pathologist, immunologist, who believed that treating the physical systems was not enough. The body is very much like a mirror reflecting our emotional states, be it good or bad. Our physical health is therefore influenced by our emotions and personalities.
There are 38 remedies in the Bach remedy system and each remedy is associated with a basic human emotion. The remedies are perfectly safe and have been used throughout the world with great success by medics, complementary health practitioners and families.
Consultation with a Bach Flower Remedy Registered Practitioner (BFRP) will ensure that the treatment system follows the Bach system as recommended by Dr Edward Bach. The purpose of the consultation session is to provide an opportunity for the client to discuss an area that they want to address in a supportive, non-judgemental and safe environment. During the consultation, the BFRP will identify the emotional states which may have become out of balance. After discussion, a mixing bottle will be prepared with the remedies that the client has agreed on. Guidance will be provided on the use of the remedy mix. A follow-up consultation is advised.
PLEASE NOTE:
We always recommend that you seek professional advice from a doctor regarding any medical condition,
