THE ELDERLY & SPECIAL NEEDS
Denise offers her services to residential homes and nursing homes that are looking to offer holistic therapies to their residents, and also to individuals who wish to book private sessions for their loved ones in care. Massage, reflexology and mindfulness are all suitable therapies for residents with complex needs or limited mobility.
Massage treatments may involve hand, arm, neck, shoulder, or Indian head massage, and can be given while the resident is seated or lying down in bed. Oils and balms used are well diluted and suitable for fragile and sensitive skin. All therapies are adapted to suit individual needs and are gentle and safe.
Mindfulness practices can be taught in residential homes, nursing homes, or in senior communities. Increasing numbers of scientific studies suggest or prove that mindfulness-based therapies can ease many of the physical and psychological issues the elderly experience.
